I have been an unorganised, messed up women for the past few days.
But Amelie is back to school tomorrow, Martin's back to work and I am back on it!! So hopefully back to our routine and a bit more organisation!

We took a trip to Mammar and Granda's over the weekend. I love Arthurs pouty little lips when he's concentrating on something. It's funny how this is something that some adults keep. I've been told sometimes I get pouty when I concentrate. Some people stick their tongues out. Think that's got to be the best one ;)

Yes I always talk about how I want Amelie to be an outdoors country girl. We want her to want to get muddy, ride bikes and climb tree's. So today we took a walk to Osmotherley and I saw a little tree which I would have been straight up as a child but Amelie ran past. Until I asked her if she wanted to climb it. It was strange that she responded with,'am I allowed?' Strange because I didn't realise we ever made her feel like she wasn't allowed to do something like that. Parenting is tough!!
She got right up there and she was so excited and happy to be doing it. It was a pleasure to watch her smiley face in that tree :)

She can be a bit defeatist when she can't do something straight away or she maybe wont want to try something new. But today she has been full of adventure. She fell over, she got muddy, she balanced on a log, fell back off and got straight back on again.
As a child I did a lot of hill/moor walking. My favourite thing to do was to find another little path. More difficult or smaller. Amelie loves to do this and the child inside me loves to follow her :)
Children make you realise why your mother told you off whilst you spoke to her when she was on the phone.
But they also make you reminisce of a time when your life was carefree.
They bring this to our lives without even knowing.
