Numbering at the top cause this is just going to be a whole lot of Disney :)
And the first person we meet is Mickey!! Major excitement from me and Amelie!!
It's true what everyone says, Disney is magical. As soon as we got there we were greeted by a lovely man named Nuno. From which I found out where he was born and why he worked at Disney. He'd said since he was a boy he watched the adverts and always wanted to come but of course many people can't afford the holiday of a lifetime cause it costs a fortune!! He said the first thing he did when he finally made it, at the age of 39, was ride the Dumbo because it's what he'd always dreamt of going on.
It was a sweet story. I too have always dreamt of going, more for seeing the castle and the characters.
Some people may know I was born in France. Not a lot of people know that my mother worked at Disney as it was being built. She had a cap, that I used to love robbing off her, with the Disney castle. All the Disney films start with that magical castle and the music. Hence wanting to see the castle :)
Even black clouds couldn't ruin the moment :)
This is the big main Princess hotel. Which I'm sure is completely fabulous to stay at but out of our price range. Right near to the park and a huge Mickey Mouse clock on!!
Here is our gorgeous Amelie cheering with excitement when we first got there :) Sweet.
I thought Arthur would be too young to really get the Disney experience. I was totally wrong he giggled his little head off meeting Pluto who was happily jumping around for him. He loved all the characters but really came to love Mickey and Geppetto! And even now we're home when he see's Mickey he claps and waves!! It is too cute!!
We saw Minnie on our first day and she was just lovely!! Both Amelie and Arthur got a kiss off her and she cuddled me so big smiles all round :)
OK so probably the worst time EVER to have no battery in your camera and you have to use your husbands iPhone is when you meet a PRINCESS!!!
You cant see much but thanks to Amelie having a HUGE smile you can definitely see that :)
What a magical moment walking in to that room with no one else, just her.
To have that special time with Cinderella. She was a little shy to start with telling Cinderella she didn't know her story but Cinderella was very sweet and helped her remember.
She had the biggest smile the whole time. Her favourite moment was giving her a cuddle at the end which we don't have a picture of. I'm pretty sure Amelie will never forget this moment.
It was beautiful to see her innocence, pure sweet love on her little gorgeous face.
Even Daddy got to meet his hero and have a big hug :) He was a very happy man...until later that day...
...drama in the Diner!!
Amelie's happy, joyful face was enough to make this holiday the best.
But better yet it was worth it to have all of my family smile. It's true that Disney isn't just for children.
It brings back those magical butterfly's you got as a kid. You don't think here's a man in a suit, you think cripes it's Mickey Mouse! Or Goofy or even Duffy (we didn't even know who he was to start with!)
It was magical and a holiday we will never forget.
Only thing is...now we want to go to Disney World...better start saving!!
